Welcome to this Developer Guy’s Internet Corner.
First a little bit about myself. I am a software developer and an all around IT professional. I’ve been in Information Technology business for over 20 years so there are very few IT areas where I don’t have at least some level of expertise. I mostly do:
- Business and Systems Analysis – mostly requirement gathering
- Application Architecture and Design – design the overall architecture before coding
- + C# + ASP.NET + MS SQL Web Development – actually develop solutions I propose
Front-End Development using:
- VS Code, JavaScript, jQuery, React, CSS, HTML
Back-End Development using:
- Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core
- MS SQL Server/Entity Framework/Entity Framework Core/NHibernate/Stored Procedures
- Visual Studio .NET Client, Server and/or Enterprise Software Development
- + PHP + MySQL Web Development
- + Android Studio and iOS xCode Mobile Development
- System and Network Administration
However, when needed I change hats and do Linux/Unix or Windows servers, do Local and Wide Area Network setup and troubleshooting (LAN and WAN), handle IT Security Audits, perform MSSQL, MySQL or Oracle database design and optimization, and … the list of long. Please see the “Expertise” page for the full list familiar technologies.
For a long time now I was thinking about putting up a website that showcases some of my projects and shows some of my professional highlights. But like in case of most professionals there just never seemed to be enough time. Finally I decided it was a matter of professional pride to finish this “Must-Do” project.
I hope you’ll find some of the information on this website helpful. Good thing about this format (a dedicated website instead of a single print page) for my resume I can provide a lot of details and not just of that I think I know :), but also details on some specific projects that were challenging at the times and where I think I had come up with an elegant solution.
If you have the time, please check out the “Thoughts on IT” section for some personal thoughts on Information Technology. Please feel free to leave comments, but please be polite – it’s OK to disagree or even dislike, just do it professionally and hopefully with ability to articulate your dislikes and disagreements.
Sincerely,
Vardan Mkrtchyan
